“And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.” Isaiah 65:24
Abraham had to leave the familiar. God gave him a tangible picture by telling him to look at the stars and the sand. The blessing is not something that you see, but you can see the results of it. We can’t see the wind, but you can see the results of it.
Overtaken means overtake the past, to come upon suddenly. Ezekiel talked about the ankle-deep anointing and so on until it covers us. Our faith could be shallow fear. Our faith may only be at our ankles. God wants us to go deeper. To be overtaken will cause us to shift. Weights will cause us to sink. So let’s lay the weights down. As we become fully emerged, there is a difference. The yoke of bondage is broken off and we will be matured. God is increasing our faith as we are taking in the Word. Man does not live by bread alone but by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. The ankle-deep anointing is still the carnal person. The preceding Word gives life. It is a word that gives you hope for the future. It is a word that gives you assurance and confidence. God is listening and will answer. The proceeding Word can provide strength to the foundation. It will give us something to build on. When a foundation is strong, the storms of life begin to blow you are anchored to secure you. You will not be moved. You will have stability.
When there is an emergence, there is a change outward. We are going to produce some fruit. When we are fully emerged, we can kill a giant who’s lifted in pride. Seek out a proceeding word for the future. God has a fresh dimension He wants to release to us through a proceeding word. He wants us to have fresh bread. God wants to water every dry place in our lives with the Word.
